We were given a rare opportunity to reimagine the circus building constructed in 1972 by architect Salomey Gelfer. Our task was to preserve its character while carefully updating and enhancing the space with contemporary solutions. We introduced new finishing materials, added soft dynamic lighting, and incorporated expressive graffiti featuring circus performers. The façade now features holographic displays with animal imagery, creating a sense of motion and drawing attention even before visitors enter the building.
The area around the circus has become livelier and more eco-friendly: we integrated green landscape compositions, created an eco-parking zone, added vibrant small architectural forms made from recycled plastic, and designed thoughtful evening lighting.
The interior has been completely transformed: modern materials, a cozy café, children’s zones, and animal figures in the lobby create an atmosphere of adventure from the very first steps. We approached this project both as a piece of heritage that should be preserved and as a space that can be rediscovered anew.
